Camping should be spontaneous, fun and relaxing. But in order to relax and enjoy that spontaneity, advance planning is a must. Camping has been a tradition for over 100 years, but back then it wasn't camping so much as just living in the wild for a while. By the 1940s, camping began to become in earnest a widespread form of vacation. But as the post - WWII economy improved and highway systems developed camping really took off as a relaxing and spontaneous pastime. Now in the present, with the advent of RVs and the advance of technology camping has became enormously popular. The result? Many campers vie for limited spots during certain weeks of the year at a limited number of campsites. As more and...

The simplicity of the game and hence the ease in which the backgammon rules can be learned, is a key factor in the game's continual popularity. Although the backgammon game has developed a number of variants in different regions around the world, the various versions share sufficient in common to allow players who learn how to play backgammon in one country, to be soon able to pick up the rules of the game in another part of the world. Another important factor to take into account is the impact of backgammon gambling. Arguably even more than playing for fun, the draw of...

Look Past the Bottom Line for a Property's Potential It's unfortunate that many real estate investors tend to look at the bottom line when deliberating about a property, rather than the big picture. The real moneymakers in real estate investments are the people with vision, who think creatively, and are willing to assume some level of risk. A client's initial line of questioning about an investment property goes something like this: What has the property's revenue been for the past three years? How much money will they make starting out? and, How much will they have to invest in the property in the beginning? These are all valid questions. After asking and answering them, investors might try taking...

Zhang Xiaotao was born on 1970 in Hechuan, Chongqing, China, he lives and works in Beijing and Chengdu, China. He is an artist full of enthusiasm and good at argument. He is so talkatively repelling that no one could plunge himself into the conversation you could also be able to read his articles about the paintings. Walking into Zhang Xiaotao's "A Joyful Time," where huge oil and watercolor paintings invite viewers into a bright underwater world of copulating frogs and intertwined human forms, the reaction "elated and free" comes back to mind. Amphibious creatures float unencumbered in washes of blue, green, and orange paint, their outlines making whimsical, eye-pleasing shapes. So it is with great...

I know this from personal experience and from hearing of the experiences of others. Sometimes I'm very happy, other times, sad, joyful, contented, frustrated, and sometimes very neutral...

Miniature trees are originally rooted in the mountains of China, where only a specific species of plants and trees grow. Because of its hostile weather conditions, the trees were often stunted and contorted. The strong mountain winds also left these trees twisted in ice and the cold. Essentially, it is nature that has rendered the inspiration for the art of potting trees as students of the art do their best to mimic what nature has created. The making of pottery progressed with the progress of centuries. There are various types of pottery and coated or painted with different types and styles of decorations. We will see here how pottery has progressed till today. Early in the nineteenth century came the introductions of pieces decorated with luster, both silver- and copper-colored, and there was a great variety among the finished products. Silver luster on a canary-yellow ground is the rarest, but silver in conjunction with under-glaze blue, especially if the latter is a sporting subject, is sought after and expensive. Whole tea-sets were made at one period, each piece covered completely with a thin film of silver luster, and they were...

Hundreds of painters are however, identifiable by their artistic personalities, where their signatures haven't survived they are named for their subject choices, as "the Achilles Painter", by the potter they worked for, such as the late Archaic "Kleophrades Painter", or even by their modern locations, such as the late Archaic "Berlin Painter". Corinth once made pottery decorated without any paint. Instead a watery clay mixture was used. When the pot was fired in a kiln, the areas painted with clay mixture turned black. Unpainted areas turned a light brown or reddish...

This is very nice if you are on the receiving end of course, but if you are the one giving out the baskets, then this could be a very expensive option, as the baskets themselves are sometimes far more than the presents they contain. Reproduction. In most mid-century American collectible pottery circles, the word reproduction draws immediate, passionate responses, usually negative. A quick read of posts on the larger cookie jar collector forums will reveal a loathing of ceramic reproductions that has no parallel in any other area of art. However, most of those who express the strongest feelings about reproduction pottery are using the word "reproduction" when they really mean, "counterfeit". A counterfeit is a reproduction deliberately mismarked for the sole purpose of confusing the prospective buyer into believing it was made by the original company. Properly, permanently marked, reproductions pose no threat to collectible...

One version is live content being streamed in real time based on a time schedule, but in reality that is not really necessary or cost effective for that matter. What I believe to be the next wave of useful marketing tactics using audio on the web, is building a niche internet radio station which will have tremendous marketing and audience building potential. It will be in the broadcaster's best interest to produce killer-archived content and post that regularly to stream on demand for their listeners. This is so easy and cost...
